Soundtracked
A few weeks ago a friend gave me ride, and his Spotify was playing in the car. The music was very familiar to me. As I listened to it (it was a rather quiet car ride), I remembered various events in the LOTR movies. Naturally, I then realized that he was listening to the movie soundtrack.
I've started listening to the soundtracks while doing my daily responsibilities. To me, it's similar to when you listen to classical music to help you focus. The soundtracks are brilliantly done; I could listen to them all day. And they don't distract while I'm working on my various projects.
While all three of the movies (and the one trillion Hobbit movies) all have their very own soundtracks, which are all very good, my personal favorite is the soundtrack from the Two Towers.
That's all I got for today. I really enjoy listening to these, and being the LOTR nerd that I am, can remember certain events in the movies that correspond to the music (the track title gives some nice context clues as well).
If there are any other particularly good film soundtracks that you like, feel free to let me know in the comments (the Jurassic Park one is good as well).
Until the next one, farewell, and may the blessing of Elves and Men and all Free Folk go with you. May the stars shine upon your faces!
I have an entire Spotify playlist with soundtracks. Here are a few of my favorites:
ReplyDeleteThe Throne Room (Star Wars A New Hope)
Main Them (Jurassic Park)
Suite from Forrest Gump
Hymn to the Sea (Titanic)
Now We Are Free (Gladiator)
A Gift of a Thistle (Braveheart)
End Credits (Glory)
Ahsoka Leaves (Star Wars Clone Wars)
The Kiss (The Last of the Mohicans)
Charging Fort Wagner (Glory)
Tryouts (Rudy)
Main Titles (Band of Brothers)
Duel of the Fates (Star Wars Phantom Menace)
I have a bunch more... but this is a good start.
